白细黄白色晶体或结晶性粉末。
易溶于乙酸（100），乙醇（99.5），或微溶于丙酮，微溶于水。
溶于稀盐酸。
它通过光变成棕褐色。

适应症
本品有强大的杀灭滴虫作用，为治疗阴道滴虫病的首选药物。此外对肠道及组织内阿米巴原虫也有杀灭作用，可用于治疗阿米巴痢和阿米巴肝脓肿，疗效与依米丁相仿。其优点是毒性小、疗效高、口服方便、适应范围广。
本品有抗厌氧菌作用，可用于治疗厌氧杆菌引起的产后盆腔炎、败血症、牙周炎等。还可用于治疗贾第氏鞭毛虫病、酒糟鼻。用于阑尾、结肠手术、妇产科手术，可降低或避免手术感染。
本品口服吸收良好，生物利用度可达90％～100％，Cmax为1～2小时，Vd为0.6～0.7L／kg，血浆蛋白结合率约为10％～20％。有效血浓度可维持12小时，药物可以原形由尿排出，亦由阴道分泌液、乳汁、唾液中排出。t1/2为8～14小时。
用法用量
（1）治滴虫病: 成人1日3次，每次服200mg，另每晚以200mg栓剂放入阴道内，连用7～10日。为保证疗效，须男女同治。
（2）治阿米巴病：成人1日3次，每次400～800mg（大剂量宜慎用），5～7日为1疗程。
（3）治贾第氏鞭毛虫病: 常用量每次400～300mg，1日3次口服，疗程5日。
（4）治疗由厌氧菌引起的产后盆腔感染、败血症、骨髓炎等：一般口服200～400mg，1日600～1200mg。也可静脉滴注。
（5）治酒糟鼻: 口服200mg，1日2～3次。配合2％灭滴灵霜外搽，1日3次。1疗程3周。

Effects of this medicine
This medicine changes to nitroso compounds in bacterial cells of Helicobacter pylori, and it shows antibacterial effects due to instability of spiral structure of DNA by the nitroso compounds.
It is usually used for the treatment (for eradication) of Helicobacter pylori infection in gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastric MALT lymphoma, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura and stomach after endoscopic therapy for early-stage gastric carcinoma, and for that of gastric inflammation accompanying infection with Helicobacter pylori.
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
•If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have organic diseases in brain or spinal cord (except brain abscess).
•If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
•If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

•This medicine is used in combination with amoxicillin hydrate (antibacterial agent) and proton pump inhibitor (gastric acid secretory inhibitor).
In combination with amoxicillin hydrate and lansoprazole: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (250 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, concomitantly with 750 mg (potency) of amoxicillin hydrate and 30 mg of lansoprazole, twice daily for 7 days.
In combination with amoxicillin hydrate and omeprazole: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (250 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, concomitantly with 750 mg (potency) of amoxicillin hydrate and 20 mg of omeprazole, twice daily for 7 days.
In combination with amoxicillin hydrate and rabeprazole sodium: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (250 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, concomitantly with 750 mg (potency) of amoxicillin hydrate and 10 mg of rabeprazole sodium, twice daily for 7 days.
In combination with amoxicillin hydrate and esomeprazole: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (250 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, concomitantly with 750 mg (potency) of amoxicillin hydrate and 20 mg of esomeprazole, twice daily for 7 days.
In combination with amoxicillin hydrate and vonoprazan: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (250 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, concomitantly with 750 mg (potency) of amoxicillin hydrate and 20 mg of vonoprazan, twice daily for 7 days.
In each case, strictly follow the instructions.
•If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Thereafter, continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
•If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
•Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
Precautions while taking this medicine
•Since alcohol may induce hangover symptoms such as pain in abdomen, vomiting and facial hot flush, avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine.
•If you are breastfeeding, discontinue breastfeeding while taking this medicine.
Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, itch, diarrhea, nausea, pain in upper abdomen and black stool. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
•numbness, pain, sensory paralysis in limbs  [peripheral neuropathy]
•convulsion, disturbance of consciousness, hallucination  [central neurological disorder]
•fever, headache, nausea, vomiting  [aseptic meningitis]
•high fever, blister, inflammation in mucous membrane of eyes, mouth, etc., general redness  [toxic epidermal necrolysis, mucocutaneous ocular syndrome]
•nausea, fever, sudden severe pain in abdomen  [acute pancreatitis]

•Keep the medicine out of the reach of infants and children. Store it at room temperature (1 to 30 degrees Celsius) away from direct sunlight and moisture.
