【适应症】非胰岛素依赖型糖尿病。
【用量和用法】15-180mg/日,日剂量为1片以内者于早晨服用一次,更大剂量应分三次于餐前服用。
【禁忌症】胰岛素依赖型糖尿病;糖尿病昏迷或昏迷前期;糖尿病合并酸中毒或酮症;对磺胺类药物过敏者;妊娠及晚期尿毒症患者。
【不良反应】 极少数患者有皮肤过敏,胃肠道反应,发热,低血糖及血象改变。
【注意事项】严重肾脏疾患者慎用。

Active Ingredients:
Gliquidone
Therapeutic effect of Glurenorm: Gliquidone lowers blood sugar level by stimulating the pancreas. It prompts the said organ to release more insulin which promotes an increase in the absorption of sugar from the blood stream.
Indications: Gliuquidone treats type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Precautions and Restrictions: Gliquidone should be taken with caution. Excessive drinking of alcoholic beverages and the likes must be avoided during intake. Also, administration of drugs with the said component to elders and patients with any liver disease needs utmost care. Check your blood sugar levels regularly while under medication to ensure the safety and success of the treatment procedures.
Refrain from using Glurenorm if you are experiencing or suffering from any of the following:
Hereditary blood disease as the said drug may encourage development of other medical conditions such as porphyrias (mental condition).
Allergic reactions to any of the ingredients found in Glurenorm.
Intake of medicines with Gliquidone is not usually advised during pregnancy. Consult your local health care professional if you intend to conceive or unexpectedly do so during treatment.
Nursing mothers are also not advised to take anything with Gliquidone. Large amounts of the said ingredient may be unintentionally passed on through the breast milk. This foreign component, when mixed with the mother's milk, could pose dangers to the child's health.

Low blood glucose level (hypoglycaemia)

anabolic steroids;
Drugs listed below can raise blood sugar levels and lessen the effects of Gliquidone at the same time.
diuretics (loop and thiazide diuretics);
corticosteroids;
oral contraceptive pill;
phenytoin;
chlorpromazine.
Gliquidone modifies effects of warfarin and other coumarins.
