【化学成分】
【药理作用】抗癫痫药。抑制大脑运动皮质神经传递。减少发作。。
【药物相互作用】
1 与氟哌啶醇合用可改变癫痫发作的形式和频率。需调整本品的药用量。氟哌啶醇的血药浓度也可因而显著下降。。
2 与三环抗抑郁药以及吩噻嗪类和噻吨类抗精神病药合用。可降低抗惊厥效应。需调整用量。。
3 本品能使诺米芬新(nomifensine)的吸收减少。消除增快。。
4 与其他抗惊厥药的相互作用不显著。偶有认为可能使苯妥英的血药浓度有所增加。。
5 与卡马西平合用时。两者的代谢可能都加快。而血药浓度降低。①本药与碱性药物合用时。可使排泄减慢。使血药浓
【不良反应】
1 较少见的不良反应有：行为或精神状态的改变。皮疹或发痒。咽痛或发热伴粒细胞减少。红斑狼疮样淋巴结肿胀。血小板减少而致出血或瘀斑；。
2 持续出现需注意的不良反应；较常见的有食欲减退。呃逆。恶心或呕吐。胃部不适。较少见的有：眩晕。嗜睡。头痛。激惹或疲乏。可引起恶心,呕吐,食欲不振,腹胀,腹泻,眩晕,头痛,嗜睡,幻觉,呃逆;个别病例白细胞减少,再生障碍性贫血;可引起肝肾损害.个别出现荨麻疹,红斑狼疮样过敏反应.胃肠道副反应有恶心。呕吐。胃部不适。腹痛等。另有头痛。头昏。嗜睡乏力。共济失
【禁忌症】
1 对琥珀酰亚胺(succinimide)类药物如甲琥胺及苯琥胺可有交叉过敏反应。。
2 有贫血。肝功能损害和严重肾功能不全时。用药应慎重考虑。。

【用法用量】口服。3-6岁一日250mg。6岁以上每日500mg。一次口服。以后酌情渐增。每4-7日加250mg。儿童日剂量超0.75mg。成人达每日2g时。需分次服用。。

The brain and nerves are made up of many nerve cells which interact with each other through electrical signals. These signals must be carefully regulated for the brain and nerves to function properly. When abnormally rapid and repetitive electrical signals are released in the brain, it becomes over-stimulated and normal function is disturbed. Zarontin works by preventing repetitive firing of electrical signals. It raises the threshold of the brain to stimuli that cause seizures and helps prevent seizures. Zarontin is mainly used to treat absence (petit mal) seizures. If you suffer from other forms of seizures as well (such as grand mal seizures), Zarontin must be used in combination with other anti-epileptic medicines.
