扁桃酸乌洛托品:治疗和预防慢性单纯性下尿道感染, 无症状性菌尿
 
禁忌:肝肾功能不全, 严重脱水者禁用。

注意事项:代谢性酸中毒, 痛风, 妊娠哺乳期妇女慎用。

不良反应:恶心, 呕吐, 腹泻, 消化不良, 皮疹, 尿道特别是膀胱刺激和炎症,尿痛,尿频,蛋白尿和血尿。

药物相互作用:与尿液碱化剂、抗酸剂、枸橼酸钾及利尿剂如乙酰唑胺和噻嗪类合用,本药作用减弱。抗坏血酸或氯化铵会使尿液酸化,增加本药的作用。

严重药物相互作用:与磺胺类药合用,会导致结晶尿,避免合用。
  
与食物的相互作用:限制碱性食物的摄入。

FDA妊娠分级:C级: 动物研究证明药物对胎儿有危害性(致畸或胚胎死亡等),或尚无设对照的妊娠妇女研究,或尚未对妊娠妇女及动物进行研究。本类药物只有在权衡对孕妇的益处大于对胎儿的危害之后,方可使用。

药理作用:是一种合成的用于治疗慢性泌尿系统感染的抗菌素,抑制或预防疾病。以马尿酸盐或苯乙醇酸盐的形式存在。该药在酸性尿液中转变为甲醛发挥抗菌活性。

吸收:胃肠道容易吸收。

分布:能通过胎盘和进入乳汁。

排泄:几乎全部经尿液排泄。

What is this medicine?

METHENAMINE is an antibiotic. It stops the growth of some bacteria in the urinary tract. This medicine is used to suppress or to prevent urinary tract infections. It will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.

This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
• dehydrated
• kidney disease
• liver disease
• an unusual or allergic reaction to methenamine, tartrazine dye, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
• pregnant or trying to get pregnant
• breast-feeding

How should I use this medicine?

Take this medicine by mouth with a full glass of water. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Do not crush or chew. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Take all of your medicine as directed even if you think you are better. Do not skip doses or stop your medicine early.

Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. While this drug may be prescribed for selected conditions, precautions do apply.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.

NOTE: This medicine is only for you. Do not share this medicine with others.

What may interact with this medicine?

Do not take this medicine with any of the following medications:
• sulfa drugs

This medicine may also interact with the following medications:
• acetazolamide
• antacids
• methazolamide
• sodium bicarbonate

This list may not describe all possible interactions. Give your health care provider a list of all the medicines, herbs, non-prescription drugs, or dietary supplements you use. Also tell them if you smoke, drink alcohol, or use illegal drugs. Some items may interact with your medicine.

What should I watch for while using this medicine?

Tell your doctor or health care professional if your symptoms do not improve or if you get new symptoms.

You will need to be on a special diet while taking this medicine. Ask your health care professional how many glasses of water or other fluids to drink each day. Also, ask which foods to include and which to avoid to help keep your urine acidic. Your urine must be acidic for this medicine to work.

What side effects may I notice from receiving this medicine?

Side effects that you should report to your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible:
• allergic reactions like skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue
• bladder pain, irritation
• dark urine
• lower back pain
• painful, frequent urination

Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your doctor or health care professional if they continue or are bothersome):
• diarrhea
• loss of appetite
• mouth sores
• nausea
• stomach upset

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of the reach of children.

Store between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Keep container tightly closed. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
