药品简介
利巴韦林又称为三氮唑核苷或病毒唑,是一种能抑制核酸合成的广谱抗病毒药。上世纪70年代我国仿制成功,目前已有多种剂型在临床使用。该药由于疗效确切,毒副作用较低,已被列入国家医保甲类药品。利巴韦林在国内主要用于儿科、传染科和呼吸科等领域,其中,传染科主要用于治疗流行性出血热和慢性丙型肝炎。目前,美国FDA批准的利巴韦林制剂包括口服制剂和雾化吸入剂,其中,口服剂型(片剂、胶囊、口服液)的适应证是:与重组干扰素α联合用于治疗3岁和3岁以上未曾使用α干扰素治疗过的代偿性肝病,或18岁和18岁以上使用α干扰素治疗复发患者的慢性丙型肝炎。

Copegus Information
Copegus is known to fight viruses in the body though the exact way it works remains to be unknown.
Copegus Indications
Copegus when combined with Interferon alfa product is used treating chronic hepatitis C. It is used in patients with liver disease who have not been previously treated with Interferon alfa or those who have relapses from alfa Interferon therapy. Copegus may also be used for purposes other than those stated here.
Copegus Warnings
Copegus may not be advisable if you have any of the following:
- History of heart disease
- Hemoglobin disorder such as anemia, thalassemia, or sickle-cell anemia
- Pancreatitis
- Kidney problems
- Mental problems
- History of organ transplant
- Thyroid disease
- History of alcoholism or drug abuse
- Cancer
- Infection of hepatitis B or HIV and AIDS
- Diabetes
- Past Interferon treatment of hepatitis C that did not work
If you have any of these conditions, your doctor may not allow you to take Copegus, may need to adjust your dosage or may need to monitor your intake of the drug.
Copegus belongs to the FDA pregnancy Category X, which means that is known to cause abnormalities to an unborn baby. Do no take this drug when you are pregnant or planning to be pregnant. Male partners of pregnant women should also not use this drug. It is yet unknown whether this drug passes into breast milk but do not take this drug when breast-feeding an infant for it may harm a nursing baby.
Older people are at a higher risk for side effects. Patients over 65 years may need lower dosage than younger people.
Copegus Intake Guidelines
Copegus should be taken in exactly as instructed by your doctor. If there are matters that you do not understand, ask your doctor, nurse or pharmacist to explain those matters to you.
Each tablet or capsule of this drug should be taken in with a full glass of water and should be taken in with an Interferon alfa product.
To prevent dehydration, one should maintain adequate fluid intake. It is essential to follow your normal dosing schedule and your dosing instructions.
To get the maximum benefit of this product, take it regularly.
Copegus Dosage
Dosage of Copegus should be obtained from your doctor. Dosage may vary from person to person with regards to a variety of factors.
Copegus Overdose
Symptoms of overdose for Copegus are not yet known. Seek immediate medical attention if you suspect overdose.
Copegus Missed Dose
If possible, do not miss a dose of this product. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered on the same day. If more than a day has elapsed, refer to your doctor as to what to do. Do not take a double dose of this medication unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
Copegus Side Effects
Copegus may serious side effects and allergic reactions, which include:
- Difficulty in breathing
- Closing of the throat
- Swelling of the face, lips or tongue
- Hives
- Chest, arm or neck pain
- Trouble in breathing or increased cough
- Severe stomach pain or lower back pain
- Bloody stools
- Unusual bruising or bleeding
- Changes in vision
- Fever greater than 100.5 degrees Fahrenheit
- Psoriasis
Discontinue taking Copegus and inform your doctor immediately if you experience any of the preceding symptoms.
Copegus may cause anemia, which may be dangerous for patients who have heart or circulatory problems. Copegus along with Interferon alfa may cause depression, suicidal behavior and psychosis. Talk to your doctor if you experience mental problems.
Copegus also has side effects, which are less serious and more likely to occur. They include:
- Fatigue or tiredness
- Nausea or decreased appetite
- Thinning of the hair
- Rash or itching
- Insomnia or restlessness
Continue taking Copegus but inform your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms.
Other side effects may also occur when you take Copegus. Inform your doctor if you experience anything unusual while or after taking this drug.
Copegus Drug Reactions
Other drugs may react with Copegus. Inform your doctor if you are taking drugs other than Copegus including over the counter prescriptions such as vitamins, minerals, and herbal products.
