This medicine is used to treat Narcolepsy, a chronic sleeping disorder, and other conditions arising out of it. Uses of Provigil [EDS], Shift Work Sleep Disorder [SWSD], or Obstructive Sleep Apnea [OSA]. Provigil is meant for treating sleeping disorders in adults, as well as children who are 16 and above. The medicine comes in two strengths - 100mg and 200mg tablets. How to Use Provigil The dose and the time for the dose, depends on the overall medical condition and the condition being treated. Take the medicine exactly as prescribed by your physician. It's a single daily dose that has to be taken with water. If your physician advises you to do so then you can take it with your meals. Missed Dose of Provigil Consult your doctor if you miss a dose. The medicine is to help you to stay awake, and if you do miss a dose, take the next dose only if you plan to stay awake for many hours following that. If your bedtime is nearing, leave the missed dose; don't double your dose.
