Livial (Tibolone) is used mainly for treatment of endometriosis, as well as hormone replacement therapy in post-menopausal women. Ingredients Active Ingredients: Tibolone
Non-Active Ingredients: Potato starch, lactose, ascorbyl palmitate and magnesium stearate.
Indications Livial is used to treat estrogen deficiency, manifested in hot flashes, decreased libido, and depression in women who have gone through menopause. It can also be used to treat endometriosis.
How It Works Livial is a steroid hormone drug. It acts as a hormone replacement, adding estrogen, progesterone, and androgen testosterone.
Dosage Tablets (2.5 mg) The recommended initial dose of Livial is 2.5 mg per day, for a period that should last at least three months for treatment of post-menopausal symptoms.

Precautions Livial is contraindicated in people who have hypersensitivity to ingredients in Livial, and women who have a history of breast cancer, benign breast lumps, and fibroids in the womb.

Before using this Livial, tell your doctor or pharmacist about all prescription and non-prescription medications, including herbal products, minerals and vitamins you may be taking. Other medications may affect how Livial works or may cause other unforeseen complications.
Adverse/Side Effects It is not uncommon for Livial to cause the following minor side effects: vaginal bleeding, discharge, thrush or itching, pain in the breasts, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting, rash, dermatitis, dizziness, fatigue, weight gain, blurry vision, muscle and joint pain, depression, and irregular skin patches that are brown in color. If these side effects persist or become overly bothersome, contact your doctor or health-care professional.
If any of these side effects become bothersome seek medical attention immediately. A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing. This may not be a complete list of side effects and may be subject to change, consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you are experiencing any worrisome side effects.
Overdose If you suspect overdose, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
