Use as directed by your doctor or as indicated in the package. Continue taking the medicine even if you recover because it is necessary to complete the full course so that the infection is completely treated. The regular-release cefaclor capsules and suspension must be taken on an empty stomach or with food or milk if it causes stomach upset. Take each dose with a full glass of water. Do not crush, or chew the tablets. They are specially formulated to release the medication slowly in the body. Take a proper measuring spoon for liquid suspension. Throw away any unused medication after 14 days.
Safety tips
Do not take antacids that contain magnesium or aluminum within one hour of a dose of Cefaclor. They may decrease the effects of the medication. Seek medical attention immediately if an overdose is suspected. Cefaclor is passed into the breast milk in small amounts, but is accepted to be safe to take during breastfeeding. It is not known to be harmful in pregnancy. Side effects
