成分
为半合成的第三代头孢菌素。
性状
常用其钠盐，为白色或浅灰黄色结晶性粉末，几无臭，易溶于甲醇，几不溶于乙醇、丙酮、氯仿中。
药理作用
抗菌谱与头孢噻肟近似，对一些革兰阳性菌有中度的抗菌作用，对革兰阴性菌的作用强，主要敏感菌有金黄色葡萄球菌、链球菌、肺炎链球菌、嗜血杆菌属、奈瑟菌、大肠杆菌、各型变形杆菌、伤寒杆菌、痢疾杆菌、消化球菌、梭状芽孢杆菌等。耐第一代头孢菌素和庆大霉素的一些革兰阴性菌可对本品敏感。但粪链球菌和耐甲氧西林的葡萄球菌对本品不敏感。
适应症
临床应用于敏感菌所致的肺炎、支气管炎、胸膜炎、腹膜炎，以及皮肤和软组织、尿路、胆道、骨和关节、耳鼻咽喉、创面、前列腺等部位的感染，也用于败血症和脑膜炎。
用量用法
深部肌肉注射，肌注溶媒为灭菌注射用水或０．５％利多卡因注射液。静脉注射时，可直接推入亦可间断或连续输注。静注溶媒为灭菌注射用水、等渗盐水或葡萄糖注射液。如需静滴，则可溶于注射用水后再加入输液中，控制滴入时间１／２～２小时。１日剂量为０．５～２ｇ，重症可用到４ｇ，可分２～４次给予。
注意事项
1.除产生过敏、腹泻、恶心、呕吐、药物热等头孢菌素所共有的不良反应外，还有一过性的眩晕和头痛反应发生。 2.本品皮试液的浓度为每毫升３００μｇ。

What is this medicine?

CEFTIZOXIME (sef ti ZOX eem) is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It is used to treat certain kinds of bacterial infections. It will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.
 
This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
•bleeding problems
•kidney disease
•stomach, intestinal problems like colitis
•an unusual or allergic reaction to ceftizoxime, cephalosporin or penicillin antibiotics, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
•pregnant or trying to get pregnant
•breast-feeding

How should I use this medicine?

This medicine is for injection into a muscle or infusion into a vein. It is usually given by a health care professional in a hospital or clinic setting.

If you get this medicine at home, you will be taught how to prepare and give this medicine. Use exactly as directed. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed.

It is important that you put your used needles and syringes in a special sharps container. Do not put them in a trash can. If you do not have a sharps container, call your pharmacist or healthcare provider to get one.

Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
NOTE: This medicine is only for you. Do not share this medicine with others.

What may interact with this medicine?

•certain antibiotics given by injection
•chloramphenicol
•probenecid

What should I watch for while using this medicine?

Tell your doctor or health care professional if your symptoms do not begin to improve or if you get new symptoms. Your doctor will monitor your condition and blood work as needed.

Do not treat diarrhea with over-the-counter products. Contact your doctor if you have diarrhea that lasts more than 2 days or if the diarrhea is severe and watery.

If you are being treated for a sexually transmitted disease, avoid sexual contact until you have finished your treatment. Your sexual partner may need treatment.

What side effects may I notice from receiving this medicine?

Side effects that you should report to your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible:
•allergic reactions like skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue
•breathing problems
•burning, numbness, or tingling
•confusion
•fever or chills, sore throat
•redness, blistering, peeling or loosening of the skin, including inside the mouth
•seizures
•unusual bleeding, bruising
•unusually weak or tired

Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your doctor or health care professional if they continue or are bothersome):
•diarrhea
•nausea, vomiting
•pain, swelling or irritation at site where injected
•vaginal itch, irritation

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of the reach of children.

If you are using this medicine at home, you will be instructed on how to store this medicine. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date on the label.

この薬の作用と効果について 細菌細胞壁の合成を阻害することによって、殺菌作用を示します。 通常、急性気管支炎、肺炎、慢性呼吸器病変の二次感染、膀胱炎、腎盂腎炎の治療に用いられます。
次のような方は使う前に必ず担当の医師と薬剤師に伝えてください。 以前に薬を使用して、かゆみ、発疹などのアレルギー症状が出たことがある。本人または両親・兄弟がアレルギー症状を起こしやすい体質（気管支喘息、発疹、じん麻疹など）、腎障害、口からの食事が不十分またはできない、全身状態が悪い。 妊娠または授乳中 他に薬を使っている（お互いに作用を強めたり、弱めたりする可能性もありますので、大衆薬も含めて他に使用中の医薬品に注意してください）。
用法・用量（この薬の使い方） あなたの用法・用量は(医療担当者記入) 通常、小児は1日主成分として体重kgあたり20～70mg（力価）を3～4回に分けて肛門内に挿入しますが、治療を受ける疾患や年齢・症状により適宜増減されます。本剤は1個中に主成分125mg（力価）を含有します。必ず指示された使用方法に従ってください。 決して飲んではいけません。なるべく排便後に使用してください。 使い忘れた場合は、気がついた時にできるだけ早く1回分を使ってください。ただし、次の通常使う時間が近い場合は1回飛ばして、次の通常の使用時間に1回分を使ってください。絶対に2回分を一度に使ってはいけません。 誤って多く使った場合は医師または薬剤師に相談してください。 医師の指示なしに、自分の判断で使うのを止めないでください。
生活上の注意
この薬を使ったあと気をつけていただくこと（副作用） 主な副作用として、下痢・軟便、肛門部痛、腹痛、発疹、じん麻疹、紅斑、かゆみ、発熱、リンパ腺腫脹、しびれなどが報告されています。このような症状に気づいたら、担当の医師または薬剤師に相談してください。 まれに下記のような症状があらわれ、［　］内に示した副作用の初期症状である可能性があります。 このような場合には、使用をやめて、すぐに医師の診療を受けてください。 不快感・口内異常感、呼吸困難、じん麻疹[ショック、アナフィラキシー様症状] 発熱、咽頭痛、頭痛[血液障害] 全身けん怠感、食欲不振、皮膚や結膜などが黄色くなる[肝障害] 尿量減少、むくみ、全身けん怠感[腎障害] 腹痛、頻回の下痢、血便[大腸炎] 以上の副作用はすべてを記載したものではありません。上記以外でも気になる症状が出た場合は、医師または薬剤師に相談してください。
保管方法その他 乳幼児、小児の手の届かないところで、光、湿気を避け、冷所（15℃以下）に保管してください。アルミ袋開封後は光および湿気により黄変することがあります。 薬が残った場合、保管しないで廃棄してください。
