Ipratropium bromide 0.02% (500mcg in 2.5mL); for oral inhalation; preservative-free.

Indications for ATROVENT INH SOLN:
Bronchospasm associated with chronic bronchitis and emphysema.
Adult Dose for ATROVENT INH SOLN:
500mcg orally by nebulization 3–4 times daily; separate doses by 6–8 hours.
Children's Dose for ATROVENT INH SOLN:
Not recommended.

Pharmacological Class:
Anticholinergic.
Contraindications:
Allergy to atropine or its derivatives. Atrovent Inhaler, but not Atrovent HFA inhaler: allergy to soya lecithin, peanut, or related foods.
Warnings/Precautions:
Not for primary treatment of acute attack. Avoid eyes. Narrow-angle glaucoma. GI or GU obstruction. Pregnancy (Cat.B). Nursing mothers.
Interactions:
Caution with other anticholinergics.
Adverse Reactions:
Exacerbation of symptoms, cough, nervousness, dizziness, GI upset, headache, palpitations, local irritation, anticholinergic effects, rash.
