药理作用
本品为强效β2受体激动药。特点为有效剂量小而作用时间持久，其支气管扩张作用为沙丁胺醇的100倍。哮喘患者口服本品每次30μg，每天3次，与口服特布他林每次5mg，每天3次相比较。它们对增加FEV1和最大呼气流速(FEF)和降低呼吸道阻力的疗效相近。可见，口服本品平喘作用较特布他林强170倍。
药动学
口服吸收快而完全，15min起效，血浆药物浓度达峰值时间为2～3h，作用持续6～8h。药物分布符合带有周边室的二室开放模型。自血浆中的消除可分两相，血浆分布半衰期为1h，血浆代谢半衰期为34h，主要通过肾脏排泄，168h后排泄87%。给药间隔12h足以维持血药浓度。在人体中已发现5种代谢物。气雾吸入后5～10min起效，作用维持2～4h。直肠给药（栓剂)后10～30min起效，作用维持8～24h。
适应证
用于支气管哮喘、哮喘样支气管炎、肺气肿等呼吸系统疾病所致的支气管痉挛。
禁忌证
1.妊娠早期、分娩前期妇女禁用。
2.心律失常、近期有心肌梗死者、高血压和甲状腺功能亢进者禁用。
注意事项
本品口服用过量，给予β受体拮抗剂后症状可即消失，与β受体拮抗剂有相互拮抗作用。
不良反应
少见有轻度心悸、手指颤动、头晕等，一般用药过程中可自行缓解。
用法用量
1.口服：每次20～40μg，每天3次。2.舌下含服：每次60～120μg，先舌下含服，待哮喘缓解后，将所余部分用温开水送下。3.气雾吸入：每次10～20μg，每天3～4次。4.直肠给药：每天2次（或睡前1次)，每次60μg。

Description:
Clenbuterol is a bronchodilator used for treatment of asthma. Clenbuterol belongs to a group of drugs known as sympathomimetics. Clenbuterol also exhibits an extremely long half-life, approximately 34 hours long. This makes steady blood levels easy to achieve, requiring only a single or twice daily dosage.
Clenbuterol is additionally known to be thermogenic with beta-2 agonists like clenbuterol shown to directly stimulate fat cells and accelerate the breakdown of triglycerides to form free fatty acids. In this area makes clenbuterol a very attractive precontest drug, promoting the loss of body fat while imparting strength and muscle mass increases. If looking for strength gains, clenbuterol appears to be effective for a much shorter period, around 3-4 weeks. This may be due to an absence of real anabolic effect, with the strength gain seen with clenbuterol. Reason is a stimulant property of the drug.
Possible side effects include those of other CNS stimulants, and include such occurrences as tremor, insomnia, sweating, increased blood pressure and nausea. These side effects will generally subside after a week or so, until the user becomes accustomed to the drug. Additional substances can enhance the fat burning effect of clenbuterol. A clenbuterol / thyroid mix is also common when using growth hormone, further enhancing the thermogenic and anabolic effect of this therapy.
