【适应症】主要用于精神运动性发作，也可用于癫痫局限性发作或发作的控制；常与其他抗癫痫药合用.
【用法用量】 口服：成人每次２００ｍｇ，１日３次，如与其他抗癫痫药合用，则开始时每次１００ｍｇ，１日２次。如果准备改单用本品，则应在６周内逐渐增至治疗量，同时逐渐撤去其他抗癫痫药。
儿童剂量每次１岁为２５ｍｇ；２～５岁１００ｍｇ；６～１２岁２００ｍｇ，１日３次。如已使用其他抗癫痫药，加用本药时，开始应用１／３量。
【注意事项】
1.常见的不良反应为共济失调、厌食、面部和肢端感觉异常；因酸中毒而常发生呼吸过度、呼吸困难，尤以儿童为见，也可有头痛、头晕、呕吐、体重减轻及精神方面的改变，偶有腹痛、流涎、失眠、白细胞减少及癫痫持续状态。
2.肾功不良者慎用。
