卢帕他定是由西班牙第一大制药公司－Uriach制药公司研制的新型、强效抗过敏药，于2003年3月15日首次在西班牙上市。上市剂型为片剂，规格10mg，商品名Rupafin，批准适应症为季节性和常年性过敏性鼻炎，用法为口服一次10mg，一日一次。

药理作用
本品为新型、强效抗过敏药，具有抗组胺和拮抗血小板活化因子(platelet activating factor，PAF)双重作用。研究表明，过敏和炎症性疾病是由多种不同介质的生成和释放产生的多因素复杂过程。组胺即是在变态反应早期和这类疾病症状出现时含有的最多炎性介质，它是由被抗原激活的肥大细胞和嗜碱性粒细胞释放而产生的。这类疾病症状如打喷嚏、鼻痒、流涕大多数都是由组胺H1受体所导致的。而PAF则是气道炎症中又一重要炎性介质。像组胺一样，PAF也可以引起支气管的收缩和血管通透性的增强，从而导致流涕和鼻充血。同时，它还能引起支气管敏感度的上升，从而诱发哮喘的发生。新的有关PAF的作用机制认为，PAF间接作用于气道，使之阻塞以及高敏亢进，继而引发白三烯释放。PAF和组胺的作用是互补的，组胺是从肥大细胞贮藏器中释放出的早期应答介质，而PAF则是从头合成的。本品为既具有抗组胺作用又拮抗PAF活性的抗过敏药。
药动学
健康志愿者口服本品，吸收迅速，达峰时间(Tmax)为0.75～1h。本品10mg单剂和重复给药，血药峰浓度(Cmax)分别为2.3ng/ml和1.9ng/ml。健康志愿者的平均半衰期(t1/2)约为6h(4.3～14.3h)。口服本品40mg后，34.6%随尿液排泄，60.9%随粪便排泄。经胆汁排泄是本品最重要的消除途径。
适应证
适用于季节性和常年性过敏性鼻炎。
用法用量
口服，每次10mg，1次/d。

What Rupafin is and what it is used for
Rupatadine is an antihistamine.
Rupafin relieves the symptoms of allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, runny nose, itching in the eyes and nose.
Rupafin is also used to relieve the symptoms associated with urticaria (a skin rash) such as itching and hives (localised skin redness and swelling).
How to take Rupafin
Always take Rupafin exactly as your doctor has told you.
You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Rupafin is for adolescents (over 12 years) and adults.
The usual dose is one tablet (10 mg of rupatadine) once daily with or without food.
Swallow the tablet with a sufficient quantity of liquid (e. g. one glass of water).
Your doctor will tell you how long your treatment with Rupafin will last.
If you take more Rupafin than you should
If you have accidentally taken a high dose of your medicine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
If you forget to take Rupafin
Take your dose as soon as possible and then continue with your tablets at the usual times.
Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten individual doses.
