It is usually used to suppress a bleeding tendency in patients with blood coagulation factor VIII deficiency. Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist •If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines. •If you are pregnant or breastfeeding. •If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.) Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine) •Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is <<to be written by a healthcare professional>> •In general, dissolve this medicine with 5 mL of the accompanying solvent, and administer the medicine intravenously via slow injection or drip infusion. Inject the medicine at a rate no greater than 5 mL/min. In general, inject 10 to 30 IU per kg of body weight at a time. The dosage may be adjusted according to your symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions. •Injections should take more than a minute per preparation. •Make sure that this medicine has completely dissolved before injecting. Inject this medicine immediately after it has dissolved (within 3 hours). •If you miss a dose, you should never inject two doses to make up for the missed dose. Consult with your doctor/pharmacist and follow the instructions. •If you accidentally inject more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist. •Do not stop injecting this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so. Precautions while taking this medicine • Possible adverse reactions to this medicine The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, hives, itch, and injection site pain. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist. The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. Store at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius (in the refrigerator) and avoid freezing. It is desirable to store in the refrigerator but it can also be stored at room temperature (lower than 25 degrees Celsius). Once stored at room temperature, use the medicine within 6 months and do not store it back in the refrigerator. •Do not discard expired medicines or used containers and kits after injecting at home.
