Ticlid is indicated:to reduce the risk of thrombotic stroke (fatal or nonfatal) in patients who have experienced stroke precursors, and in patients who have had a completed thrombotic stroke.
Used as a medication to provide voluntary relief to ischemic patients, Ticlopidine Hydrochloride (Generic Ticlid) decreases the chances of ischemic attacks thereby cutting down the occurrence of mini strokes. By stopping the blood cells called platelets from clotting, Ticlopidine HCL (Generic Ticlid) helps smooth flow of blood to the brain without hurdles. As a result strokes caused due to blood clotting is prevented. If taken regularly, Ticlopidine HCL (Generic Ticlid) can rejuvenate ischemic patients with a fresh lease of life by cutting short the dreads of sudden bouts of mini strokes.
Warnings: Sometimes Ticlopidine HCL (Generic Ticlid) is used with aspirin to provide better protection against the formation of blood clots. However, the risk of bleeding may also be increased. To reduce this risk, take only the amount of aspirin prescribed by the same doctor who directed you to take Ticlid. If you need a medication for pain or a fever, do not take extra aspirin without first consulting your doctor. If you are suffering from any of the following diseases notify your doctor: high Cholesterol level; history of dental surgery; kidney disease; liver disease; neutropenia; stroke; thrombocytopenia; ulcer. There may be interactions with other medications, so inform your doctor if your are taking other drugs. |
