Indications for ANZEMET
Prevention of nausea & vomiting associated with emetogenic cancer chemotherapy, including initial and repeat courses. Prevention of post-op nausea & vomiting. Treatment of post-op nausea +/or vomiting (IV only).

Adult dose for ANZEMET
≥16yrs: 100mg within 1 hr before chemotherapy or within 2 hrs before surgery.

Children's dosing for ANZEMET
<2 yrs: not recommended. 2–16 yrs: 1.8mg/kg within 1 hr before chemotherapy; or, 1.2mg/kg within 2 hrs before surgery. Max 100mg/dose.

Warnings/Precautions for ANZEMET
Patients at risk of developing prolongation of cardiac conduction intervals, especially QTc (e.g., congenital QT syndrome, hypokalemia, hypomagnesemia); see Interactions. Pregnancy (Cat.B). Nursing mothers.

Interactions for ANZEMET
Caution with drugs which can prolong ECG intervals (esp. QTc) and with cumulative high-dose anthracycline therapy. Potentiated by cimetidine, atenolol (IV dolasetron). Antagonized by rifampin.

Adverse Reactions for ANZEMET
Headache, dizziness, pain, fatigue, diarrhea, tachycardia, ECG changes.
