This medicine also has an action to lower intraocular pressure. It is usually used for intracranial pressure lowering, improvement of intracranial pressure edema, postoperative therapy following brain surgery, intraocular pressure lowering and brain/eye surgery. Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist •If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines. If you have congenital glycerin/fructose metabolic disorders, adult-onset type II citrullinemia, cardiac disorder, or circulation organs dysfunction. If you have renal disorder, diabetes insipidus, diabetes mellitus or intake restriction of salt. •If you are pregnant or breastfeeding. •If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.) Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine) •Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is <<to be written by a healthcare professional>> •For intracranial pressure lowering, improvement of intracranial pressure edema, and postoperative therapy following brain surgery: In general, for an adult, inject with intravenous drip infusion once or twice a day. •For brain surgery: In general, inject with intravenous drip infusion over a 30-minute period. •For intraocular pressure lowering and eye surgery: In general, inject with intravenous drip infusion over a 45-90 minute period. Precautions while taking this medicine • Possible adverse reactions to this medicine The most commonly reported adverse reactions include hemoglobinuria, hematuria, micturition, headahce and dry mouth. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist. The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately. •nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, breathlessness, hyperventilation, feeling of weariness, tremor, loss of consciousness  [acidosis] The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine.
