Dosage form: Liquid with a subtle milk-like flavor (400mL or 200mL), or a subtle coffee-like, banana-like, or corn-like flavor (200mL). Either liquid is white tinged with brown. Print on wrapping: Effects of this medicine This medicine is semi-digested enteral formula for tube or oral feeding containing well-balanced nutrients. It is usually used in a postoperative period for replenishment of nutrients when the patient is unable to take a diet or take an adequate diet for a long period. Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist •If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines. •If you have; an allergy to milk protein, intestinal obstruction, loss of intestinal function, hepatic disorder and renal impairment, abnormal glucose metabolism such as diabetes, congenital amino acid metabolism disorder, or dehydration such as diarrhea. •If you are pregnant or breastfeeding. •If you are taking any other medicinal products. Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine) •Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is <<to be written by a healthcare professional>> •Tube feeding: Tube feeding: In general, for adults, start the infusion with 400 mL (400 kcal) daily (diluted with water of about 0.5 kcal/mL) slowly (≦ about 100mL/hour) through nasal feeding, gastric, or enteral feeding tube into stomach, duodenum, or jejunum. The dose is increased while carefully monitoring clinical symptoms to the standard range of 1,200 to 2,000 mL (1,200 to 2,000 kcal) daily after 3 to 7 days. Within the standard range, the medicine is given at a speed of 75 to 125 mL/hour for 12 to 24 hours. Oral use: When oral use is possible, 1,200 to 2,000 mL (1,200 to 2,000 kcal) daily is orally given in once or several divided dose. In either case, the dosage, concentration, and infusion speed should be adjusted according to the patient's age, weight, and symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions. •Shake well just before use. Please use the entire dose as soon as possible. If you have to keep the remainder in a refrigerator, please use it up within 24 hours. •If you miss a dose, take the dose as you notice. You should not take two doses at one time. •If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist. •Do not stop taking this medicine on your own decision unless your doctor instructs you to do so. Precautions while taking this medicine • Possible adverse reactions to this medicine The most commonly reported adverse reactions include diarrhea, bloating, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, rash, and urticaria.
