成份
Carteolol HCl
適應症
Tab Essential hypertension, angina pectoris. LA Cap Primary hypertension.
用量
Tab Initially 10-15 mg daily. If necessary, dose may be increased up to 30 mg daily in 2-3 divided doses. LA Cap Adult 1 cap once daily, may increase to 2 cap daily.
用法 Should be taken with food (LA cap: Swallow whole, do not chew/ crush.).

Category C: Either studies in animals have revealed adverse effects on the foetus (teratogenic or embryocidal or other) and there are no controlled studies in women or studies in women and animals are not available. Drugs should be given only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the foetus.
in 2nd & 3rd trimesters.
Category D: There is positive evidence of human foetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk (e.g., if the drug is needed in a life-threatening situation or for a serious disease for which safer drugs cannot be used or are ineffective).
禁忌
Bronchial asthma, patients prone to bronchospasm; diabetic ketoacidosis & metabolic acidosis; advanced bradycardia, atrial & sinus block; cardiogenic shock; right ventricular failure secondary to pulmonary hypertension; CHF; pregnancy, untreated melanocytoma, hypotension.
注意事項
Idiopathic hypoglycemia, poorly controlled diabetes, prolonged fasting; impaired hepatic & renal function; peripheral circulatory disorders; elderly; lactation; withdraw 24 hr prior to surgery; use with other β-blockers in patients with pheochromocytoma. Patients with bradycardia or AV block, thyrotoxicosis, variant angina pectoris.
不良反應
Infrequent, dizziness, lightheadedness, bradycardia, dyspnea, hypotension, headache, GI upsets, skin rashes, malaise, weakness; rarely palpitations, diarrhea, loss of appetite, constipation, meteorism, bleary eyes, edema, hot flushes, fatigue.
