It is usually used for the treatment of abnormal behavior, pathological symptoms, psychological symptoms, etc. associated with children's autistic disorder or intellectual disability, and also for stabilization of the mental state. Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist •If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine. If you have a current, past or family history of arrhythmia. If you have become comatose. If you have depression. If you are a patient with Parkinson's disease. •If you are pregnant or breastfeeding. •If you are taking any other medicinal products. Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine) •Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is <<to be written by a healthcare professional>> •General dosage regimen: For children with symptoms associated with autistic disorder or intellectual disability: Take 1 to 3 tablet/s (1 to 3mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once daily. The dosage may be adjusted according to the patent's age and symptoms, and the daily dose may be increased up to a maximum of 6 tablets (6mg) that may be taken in two divided portions per day. For other conditions than the above: For adults, take 1 to 3 tablet/s (1 to 3mg of the active ingredient) per day, once daily. The daily dose may be taken in 2 to 3 divided portions when necessary. The daily dose may be gradually increased to 4 to 6 tablets (4 to 6mg) according to the symptoms. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 9 tablets (9mg), and, in general, the maximum maintenance daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets (6mg). The dosage may be adjusted according to the patient's symptoms. Take the medicine in the morning as much as possible, if it is taken once daily. In either case, strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist. •If you have missed a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Precautions while taking this medicine •Taking this medicine may cause sleepiness, dizziness or a swaying feeling. Do not operate dangerous machinery such as driving a car. •Intake of alcohol may enhance the effect of this medicine. Refrain from drinking alcohol while taking the medicine. •Intake of grapefruit or grapefruit juice may enhance the effect of this medicine. Do not consume these at the same time as taking the medicine. Possible adverse reactions to this medicine Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: sleep disorder (loss of sleep, sleepiness), tremor (trembling of the hands and legs), akathisia (inability to sit still), salivation (drooling), rash, itching, etc. The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets.
