药理毒理 　　

本品具广谱抗菌作用，尤其对需氧革兰阴性杆菌抗菌活性高，对下列细菌在体外具有良好的抗菌作用：肠科杆菌的大部分细菌，常对多重耐药菌也具有抗菌活性，对青霉素耐药的淋病奈瑟菌、产酶流感嗜血杆菌和莫拉菌属均具有高度抗菌活性。对铜绿假单胞杆菌等假单胞菌属的大多数菌株具抗菌作用。但对厌氧菌抗菌活性差。　　
环丙沙星为杀菌剂，通过作用于细菌DNA螺旋酶的A亚单位，抑制DNA的合成和复制而导致细菌死亡。
适应症　　

本品为合成的第三代喹诺酮类抗菌药物，具广谱抗菌活性，杀菌效果好，几乎对所有细菌的抗菌活性均较诺氟沙星及依诺沙星强2～4倍，对肠杆菌、绿脓杆菌、流感嗜血杆菌、淋球菌、链球菌、军团菌、金黄色葡萄球菌具有抗菌作用。 　　
临床主要用于敏感菌所致的呼吸道、泌尿道、消化道、皮肤软组织等的感染及胆囊炎、胆管炎、中耳炎、副鼻窦炎、淋球菌性尿道炎等。对耐甲氧西林金葡菌(MRSA)所致感染不能耐受万古霉素者，可选用本品作为联合用药之一。
用法用量　　

口服，成人0.2g/次，2～3次/日；亦有用法为0.5g～0.75g/次，1次/12小时。静滴，0.1g～0.2g/次，2次/日，可用生理盐水或葡萄糖注射液稀释，滴注时间不少于30分钟。

1 常见的为恶心、腹上区隐痛及腹泻等。 　　
2 有头痛、烦躁和皮疹等。 　　
注意事项

（1）严重抑制茶碱的正常代谢，联合应用可引起茶碱的严重不良反应，应监测茶碱的血药浓度。对咖啡因、可能对华法林也有同样影响，应予注意。　　
（2）可与食物同服，但抗酸药则抑制本品吸收，应避免同服。　　
（3）对本品过敏者禁用,孕妇、授乳妇女和未成年者不宜用本品。

Ciprofloxacin Suspension is associated with an increased risk of tendon problems. These include pain, swelling, inflammation, and possible breakage of tendons. The risk of tendon problems is greater in patients who are over 60 years old, patients who take corticosteroids (eg, prednisone), and in those who have received kidney, heart, or lung transplants. The Achilles tendon in the back of the foot/ankle is most often affected. However, problems may also occur in other tendons (eg, in the shoulder, arm, hand). Problems may occur while you take Ciprofloxacin Suspension or up to several months after you stop taking it.

Signs of tendon problems may include pain, soreness, redness, or swelling of a tendon or joint; bruising right after an injury in a tendon area; hearing or feeling a snap or pop in a joint or tendon area; or inability to move or bear weight on a joint or tendon area. Tell your doctor right away if you experience any of these symptoms while you take Ciprofloxacin Suspension or within several months after you stop taking it.

Ciprofloxacin Suspension is used for:
Treating bacterial infections. It may also be used to prevent or slow anthrax after exposure.

Ciprofloxacin Suspension is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It works by killing sensitive bacteria.

Do NOT use Ciprofloxacin Suspension if:
you are allergic to any ingredient in Ciprofloxacin Suspension or to any other fluoroquinolone (eg, levofloxacin)
you are taking tizanidine or you have recently received a live oral typhoid vaccine
Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.

Before using Ciprofloxacin Suspension:
Some medical conditions may interact with Ciprofloxacin Suspension. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:

if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances
if you have a stomach infection, liver problems, brain or nervous system problems, increased pressure in the brain, Alzheimer disease, brain blood vessel problems, muscle problems (eg, myasthenia gravis), or a history of seizures
if you have a history of severe or persistent diarrhea, skin sensitivity to the sun, low blood potassium levels, heart problems, irregular heartbeat (eg, QT prolongation), or if you have a family member with a history of irregular heartbeat
if you have a history of joint or tendon problems; rheumatoid arthritis; kidney problems or decreased kidney function; or heart, kidney, or lung transplant
if you take corticosteroids (eg, prednisone) or you participate in strenuous physical work or exercise
Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with Ciprofloxacin Suspension. Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following:

Antiarrhythmics (eg, amiodarone, quinidine) because the risk of serious side effects, including irregular heartbeat, may be increased
Corticosteroids (eg, prednisone) because they may increase the risk of tendon problems
Diuretics (eg, furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide), metoclopramide, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) (eg, ibuprofen), or probenecid because they may increase the risk of Ciprofloxacin Suspension's side effects
Anticoagulants (eg, warfarin), antipsychotics (eg, clozapine), cyclosporine, methotrexate, monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) (eg, phenelzine), serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) (eg, duloxetine), sulfonylureas (eg, glyburide), theophylline, tizanidine, tricyclic antidepressants (eg, amitriptyline), or xanthines (eg, caffeine) because the risk of their side effects may be increased by Ciprofloxacin Suspension
Hydantoins (eg, phenytoin) or live oral typhoid vaccine because their effectiveness may be decreased by Ciprofloxacin Suspension

How to use Ciprofloxacin Suspension:
Use Ciprofloxacin Suspension as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.

Take Ciprofloxacin Suspension by mouth with or without food. The preferred dosing time is 2 hours after a meal.
Shake well before each use.
Use a measuring device marked for medicine dosing. Ask your pharmacist for help if you are unsure of how to measure your dose.
Take Ciprofloxacin Suspension with a full glass of water (8 oz/240 mL).
Drinking extra fluids while you are taking Ciprofloxacin Suspension is recommended. Check with your doctor for instructions.
If you also take any products containing magnesium, aluminum, calcium, iron, or zinc (eg, antacids, quinapril, vitamins/minerals); didanosine; sucralfate; or bismuth subsalicylate, do not take them within 6 hours before or 2 hours after taking Ciprofloxacin Suspension. Check with your doctor if you have questions.
If you also take sevelamer, do not take it within 4 hours before or after taking Ciprofloxacin Suspension. Check with your doctor if you have questions.
Ciprofloxacin Suspension works best if it is taken at the same time each day.
To clear up your infection completely, take Ciprofloxacin Suspension for the full course of treatment. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days.
Avoid taking Ciprofloxacin Suspension with milk or milk products (eg, calcium-enriched juice, yogurt) by themselves. However, taking Ciprofloxacin Suspension as part of a full meal that contains milk or milk products is permitted.
Do not miss any doses. If you miss a dose of Ciprofloxacin Suspension, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use Ciprofloxacin Suspension.

Important safety information:
Ciprofloxacin Suspension may cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, or lightheadedness. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Ciprofloxacin Suspension with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.
Be sure to use Ciprofloxacin Suspension for the full course of treatment. If you do not, the medicine may not clear up your infection completely. The bacteria could also become less sensitive to this or other medicines. This could make the infection harder to treat in the future.
Long-term or repeated use of Ciprofloxacin Suspension may cause a second infection. Tell your doctor if signs of a second infection occur. Your medicine may need to be changed to treat this.
Ciprofloxacin Suspension only works against bacteria; it does not treat viral infections (eg, the common cold).
Avoid large amounts of food or drink that have caffeine (eg, coffee, tea, cocoa, cola, chocolate).
Tell your doctor right away if you experience pain or swelling of a tendon or weakness or loss of use of a joint area. Rest the area and avoid exercise until further instruction from your doctor.
Diabetes patients - Ciprofloxacin Suspension may affect your blood sugar. Check blood sugar levels closely. Ask your doctor before you change the dose of your diabetes medicine.
Ciprofloxacin Suspension may cause you to become sunburned more easily. Avoid the sun, sunlamps, or tanning booths until you know how you react to Ciprofloxacin Suspension. Use a sunscreen or wear protective clothing if you must be outside for more than a short time.
Mild diarrhea is common with antibiotic use. However, a more serious form of diarrhea (pseudomembranous colitis) may rarely occur. This may develop while you use the antibiotic or within several months after you stop using it. Contact your doctor right away if stomach pain or cramps, severe diarrhea, or bloody stools occur. Do not treat diarrhea without first checking with your doctor.
Use Ciprofloxacin Suspension with caution in the ELDERLY; they may be more sensitive to its effects (eg, tendon problems), especially if they take corticosteroids (eg, prednisone). They may also be more sensitive to other effects (eg, irregular heartbeat).
Ciprofloxacin Suspension should be used with extreme caution in CHILDREN younger than 18 years old; they may be more sensitive to its effects, especially joint and tendon problems.
PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Ciprofloxacin Suspension while you are pregnant. Ciprofloxacin Suspension is found in breast milk. Do not breast-feed while taking Ciprofloxacin Suspension.
Possible side effects of Ciprofloxacin Suspension:
All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome:

Diarrhea; dizziness; headache; loss of appetite; nausea; stomach upset; vomiting.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); bloody or tarry stools; burning, numbness, tingling, pain, or weakness of the arms, hands, legs, or feet; chest pain; dark urine or unusual change in amount of urine; fainting; fever, chills, or unusual cough; hallucinations; inability to move or bear weight on a joint or tendon area; irregular heartbeat; loss of consciousness; moderate to severe sunburn; mood or mental changes (eg, new or worsening anxiety, agitation, confusion, depression, restlessness, sleeplessness); muscle pain or weakness; pain, soreness, redness, swelling, weakness, or bruising of a tendon or joint area; pale stools; persistent sore throat; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; seizures; severe or persistent diarrhea; severe or persistent dizziness; stomach cramps/pain; suicidal thoughts or actions; tremors; unusual bruising or bleeding; unusual fatigue; vaginal yeast infection; vision changes; yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Proper storage of Ciprofloxacin Suspension:
Store Ciprofloxacin Suspension below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C) in a tightly closed container. Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Do not freeze. Throw away any unused medicine after 14 days. Keep Ciprofloxacin Suspension out of the reach of children and away from pets.
