本品为半合成青霉素，其钠盐为白色粉末，吸湿，溶于水，怒溶于有机溶剂。
　　抗革兰氏阳性菌，是对青霉素G耐药性金黄色葡萄球菌有作用的新青霉素，其作用与效率是异恶唑类青霉素(-oxacillin)中最好的一个，治疗范围与BRL 1702相似，临床上用于治疗对链球菌、肺炎球菌和葡萄球菌引起的感染。
