柠檬酸铁含有作为活性成分的氧化铁水合物柠檬酸的药物。
Riona是通过集中在磷酸铁（ Fe3 +的）的结合作用，以形成不溶性的（磷酸铁）沉淀通过偶联磷酸铁的膳食在胃肠道内这正是磷酸盐结合剂，抑制磷的新的胃肠道吸收。

Effects of this medicine
This medicine forms insoluble sediments by combining food-derived phosphate and iron in the gastrointestinal tract and suppresses gastric absorption of phosphate.
It is usually used to improve hyperphosphatemia in chronic renal disease patient.
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you are a patient with gastrointestinal disease such as peptic ulcer and inflammatory bowel disorder, hepatitis such as hepatitis C or paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria.
If you are a patient with iron overload such as hemochromatosis or suspected of it.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)
Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is <<to be written by a healthcare professional>>
In general, for adults, start with 2 tablets (500 mg as iron[II] citrate) at a time. 3 times a day after meals. The dosage may be adjusted to your symptoms and serum phosphate concentration, however, it should not exceed 24 tablets (6,000 mg) per day. Strictly follow the instructions.
If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule without changing the amount of the next dosage. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
Precautions while taking this medicine
Your stool may turn black due to components of this medicine.
If you are instructed to restrict intake of phosphate-rich food, strictly follow the instructions of the dietary therapy.
Serum concentrations of ferritin and hemoglobin may be checked periodically.
Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include diarrhea, constipation and abdominal discomfort. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
