Also, it increases bronchial secretion to decrease the viscosity of phlegm, consequently, to make it easy for a patient to cough out phlegm. It is usually used to treat symptoms of cough and phlegm caused by respiratory diseases such as cold, upper respiratory infection, bronchitis, and pneumonia. Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist •If you have previously experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine. •If you are pregnant or breastfeeding. •If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.) Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine) •Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is <<to be written by a healthcare professional>> •In general, for adults, take 4-6 tablets (20-30mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day. It should be adjusted according to your disease, age and symptoms. Toddlers/children should take the following amount of this medicine in 3 divided doses a day; for children aged 3 or over but under 6: 4-6 tablets (20-30mg of the active ingredient), for children aged 6 or over but under 10: 6-9 tablets (30-45mg of the active ingredient). Strictly follow the instructions. •This medicine is specially designed to avoid bitterness. Take it without chewing, otherwise you will note bitterness. •If you missed a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible and continue your regular dosing schedule. However, you should never take two doses at one time. •If you accidentally took more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist. •Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so. Precautions while taking this medicine • Possible adverse reactions to this medicine The most commonly reported adverse reactions include loss of appetite, nausea/vomiting, stomach discomfort, diarrhea (including loose stool) and symptom of irritation. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist. The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets.
